The yearly “first season” of her solo variety show Sarah G Live every Sunday night started in February 2012 has ended in February 2013. Maybe I thoughtfully speculated that Sarah Geronimo would go back to Sunday musical variety show ASAP for a few weeks or months of 2013, only if she could have enough space of schedule between her supposed comeback the said longest-running variety show on ABS-CBN and a busy consideration of her upcoming mini-novel anthology TV show and a judge-mentor of upcoming singing-contest-reality TV show The Voice Philippines. How I wish—and even someone—that if she could finish this as mentioned above she would go back her solo variety show on the second season by the end of 2013 or by 2014 in future high-definition (HD) format DTV broadcast, both by the recent adoption of ISDB-T to be roll out very soon and the current rollout of DVB-S2 and DVB-C on most TV households here in the Philippines.
Now I will only discuss about her upcoming mini-novel anthology TV show on ABS-CBN. Though report has said “drama anthology”, the content may be either a comic role scenes (as being maintained her “good role model”—as in good moral conduct—to the support of the youth) or a serious mature drama roles as speculated. In the past, she as a singer from her teen years of being a member of Viva Artist Agencey had tried to be an actress on past TV shows (such as Sarah The Teen Princess, Bituing Walang Ningning, Pangarap Na Bituin, and IDOL and even a guest role of Wansapanataym in 2004 and Maalaala Mo Kaya in mid-decade 2000s) and movie shows (such as Filipinas, A Very Special Love, You Changed My Life, Hating Kapatid, etc.) but although her acting skills was good she did not have an award tropee as a best TV or movie actress for the past few years. What was most important is that she should have to improve her acting skills much by means of serious acting workshop to be in high quality state, so therefore not only applause to the her fans but also other people and many showbiz critics.
The only problem now is who’s actor will be a leading lady of Sarah Geronimo of her upcoming mini-novel anthology TV show aside from John Lloyd Cruz and Gerald Anderson, but there were a possibility as I thought: either from various “newer-entry” actors coming from Viva (not considering to Mark Bautista who was currently appear at Party Pilipinas on GMA-7), or from various actors of ABS-CBN Star Magic (not considering to Rayver Cruz), whose age should be always older than she. Would there be a possibility of serious romantic drama role aside of her possible non-romantic drama role or even romantic comic role? We’ll see her new TV show very soon.
Sarah Geronimo’s upcoming mini-soap anthology TV show with working title Sarah G Presents will be aired in SD format in due time of 2013 aside from judge-mentor of The Voice Philippines, right there on ABS-CBN. To know how to tune-in to free-to-air ABS-CBN channel 2 in Mega Manila, click here.
